Renaissance Faire

Pageantry & revelry of Shakespeare's England with lots of games, food and booths for purchasing goods. Costumed performers mixing among the crowd and on stages, lively songs, daring swordplay and courtly dances. Come and have a jolly good time in Merry Ol' England. Fish Fry

The Fun Club will be meeting for Happy Hour and socializing on Friday, May 9th at the Daily Grill located at 2121 Rosecrans Ave., El Segundo. On a warm evening, we will probably meet on the patio. A great way to wind up a hectic work week. There is parking in back and they will validate parking for up to 3 hours after 5 PM – be sure to ask. Happy hour drink prices are $3.50 for beer and $2 off any wine and appetizers are $2.95. They will not take reservations, but know we will be there, so it’s first come first served. Walk/Dinner @ Lazy Dog Cafe

Reviving a popular event from years past, Sue Bohn will host an opportunity
for healthy exercise and good food. Sue would like to renew this event on
a monthly basis, using different members' homes or a parking lot as the starting
point and going to restaurants within a 15-30 minute walk. For this first
event, walkers will meet at Sue’s home (directions given when you RSVP)
at 5 PM and join the non-walkers at 5:30 PM at The Lazy Dog Cafe (in the new
section of the Del Amo Mall, North of Carson, West of Madrona between Del
Amo Circle and Fashion Way by the parking structure). We will have space reserved
on the outdoor patio. RSVP is a must to Sue at (310) 787-0478 by Saturday
Noon. If anyone has ideas (anywhere in the South Bay and beyond) and would

Pizza & Movie Night at Phil’s

Pat & Phil have found another great movie for your viewing pleasure. Included of course is socializing, liquid intake and feeding. Movie starts at 7:30 PM & ends at 9 or 9:30 PM. Fun Club Picnic

Join us for our annual picnic at one of the quietest parks in the South Bay. El Retiro Park is located at 126 Vista Del Parque at PCH (3rd street east of Palos Verdes Blvd. in Redondo Beach). Look for the Fun Club banner at the entrance to the park. We'll be located in the circular pavilion. For comfortable seating bring your own chair. We'll have the Club Karaoke machine for your singing and dancing pleasure. We'll also be playing bingo, twister and lawn bowling. The menu consists of hot dogs, chili dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chips, dips, soda and water plus dessert. This is not a potluck event. Alcohol is not allowed in the park.
