Happy Hour at "1321 Bistro" in downtown Torrance.  Happy Hour ends at 6 PM but we will try to get it  extended to 6:30 PM.  One-half off beer on tap; well cocktails & house wines.  Appetizers range from $4 to $7 (tacos, mussels & clams, meatballs, flautas, pork fries and several others.)  We enjoyed outstanding food and service at our last event at this location.  They will do separate checks. Fun in the Sun! Come out and play if you’re experienced in Beach Volleyball or just watch the players, the dolphins, the waves, the beach. The action takes place on the beach between Avenue F and G in Redondo Beach near the restroom.

Beach Walk + Happy Hour @ El Torrito’s

Walking is the perfect exercise. We meet at the Elks Lodge South parking lot which is at the intersection of Catalina and Esplanade at 5 PM. Walking is followed by Happy Hour at El Torrito’s – 100 Fisherman’s Wharf, Redondo Beach – 310) 376-0547. Happy Hour Drink and appetizers prices until 8 PM.  Rain cancels the walk portion of this event.  People who don't walk can go to El Torrito’s and the walkers will join you there.  Call Maureen for more information especially if it is your first time to take the walk as the walkers might have to change the walk start time.  Remember the 20% gratuity rule.

Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach.  Join us for unique Chinese Cuisine.  We will have the private patlo with heat lamps and separate checks.  Valet and Street parking is available.  Wine and Beer $3 to $4 all day price. Monthly Planning Meeting

ALL MEMBERS WELCOME – The Planning meeting for this month’s meeting will be held at the Torrance Marie Callender's Restaurant, located at the corner of Hawthorne Blvd. and Torrance in restaurant row. They have good food & drinks. Eat early so we can be ready to start at 6:30 PM. All attendees are encouraged to have dinner or appetizers and drinks to show our appreciation to the restaurant for allowing us to hold our meeting in a private room. Remember the 20% gratuity rule.  All SBFC members are welcome to attend whether you have an event to sponsor or not. If you are not feeling up to hosting an event all by yourself come and pair up with someone who has done this before.  This way you can co-host and learn the tricks of the trade alongside an experienced host. Oscar Party

Join Sharon for a fun evening guessing who will win the Oscars at her annual Oscar Party.  She has two (2) HD TVs.  There will be ballots for you to guess the winners and a prize for the most guessed correctly. This will be Potluck so bring a dish to share with 10 persons (chips/dip do not count).  Cost is Members $5 with a dish and $12 without.  Nonmembers cost is $8 & $15.  Chip/Dip, Wine, sodas and coffee will be furnished.  RSVP to Sharon before Feb. 26th and she will give you directions to her El Segundo home.
